Who this is for

Baritone is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it. The app is rated 18+ on the App Store and we do not knowingly provide it to anyone younger.

What Baritone is

Baritone measures acoustic properties of your speaking voice and gives you a daily training programme. You record a fixed passage, we analyse it, and you get a score card and drills.

What it is not

Baritone is not a medical device and not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, or assess any condition. Its scores are measurements of sound, not clinical findings, and nothing in the app is a substitute for a doctor, an ENT, or a speech-language pathologist.

What we do and do not promise

We promise the measurement is honest and consistent: the same recording always produces the same score, and we will not report a change smaller than what the measurement can actually resolve.

We do not promise a specific result. How much your voice changes depends on your anatomy, your consistency, and factors outside our control. In particular, your pitch is largely set by your physiology and changes very little with training — the app is explicit about this, and you should not subscribe expecting otherwise.

Subscriptions and payment

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. Prices are shown in your local currency before you confirm.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Lifetime access is a single payment and does not renew.
• We cannot issue refunds. Apple is the merchant of record and handles all refunds through reportaproblem.apple.com. If something is wrong, email support@trybaritone.com anyway — we would rather fix it.
• If we ever change a price, existing subscribers are told before it applies.

Your account and your recordings

There is no account. Your device holds a random identifier. If you delete the app, reinstall it, or switch devices, your history will not follow you, because there is nothing tying it to you as a person. Restore Purchases will recover your subscription; it will not recover your scan history.

Acceptable use

Do not use Baritone to record anyone without their knowledge, to attempt to identify people by voice, or to upload audio you have no right to. Do not try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

Your content

You keep all rights to your voice and your recordings. You grant us only what we need to run the service: permission to analyse a recording you submit and to keep the resulting measurements. Since we delete the audio in the same request, that permission is over in seconds.

Availability

This is a small, independently run app. We may change, suspend, or shut it down. If we shut it down we will give notice in the app and stop billing.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Baritone is provided "as is", and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
